LA Times drops technical supplement
LONDON - The LA Times has dropped its technical business section Tech Times as part of a reorganisation at the paper.
Technical stories will be given extra space in the paper's Monday business section and the Thursday Calendar Weekend section.
On Mondays, the newspaper's reformatted technical content will include technology news, profiles of technology companies and figures and analysis of technology trends and issues.

It will also include a new column called Gear, which will look at issues such as new products, e-commerce and analysis of market sector trends.
The LA Times said the section had been discontinued as a result of its "ongoing efforts to make optimal use of the space available in the newspaper. Total space for news and features will be about the same this year as in 2001", it said in a statement. The changes came into effect on January 31.
