Milk marketers try to change town's name to Got Milk?
NEW YORK - After years of persuading celebrities to wear milk moustaches and asking consumers 'Got Milk?', the California Milk Processor Board is now trying to convince a town to change its name to the famous US advertising slogan.
Councillors in the California town of Biggs will consider an offer of an undisclosed sum to change its name to Got Milk? in November.
According to reports, the campaign celebrates its 10th birthday in 2003 and has approached around 20 small towns in California proposing they change their name.

Sharletta Callaway, mayor of Biggs, told the San Francisco Chronicle: "It's interesting if nothing else. I thought it was good marketing, a smart move."
Got Milk? has used a huge range of celebrities from sports stars like Venus and Serena Williams to actors including Jackie Chan and children's favourites like the Cookie Monster. It encourages Americans to drink more milk, claiming it is beneficial to health.
