The deal furthers existing ties between the two, which has resulted in some of Google's sponsored links being available on selected Amazon.com pages.
Google said that the new deal will allow Amazon customers to conduct research across the web. The search engine has already partnered with sites including AOL, Ask Jeeves and Earthlink.
Owen Van Natta, vice-president of worldwide business development at Amazon.com, said: "Amazon.com is constantly seeking new ways to provide our customers with the best and most relevant information on the web.
"Working with another industry leader such as Google is in keeping with our relentless commitment to excellence throughout every aspect of the customer experience."
