Hatchuel quits Euro RSCG to start entertainment venture
PARIS - Romain Hatchuel, former CEO of the Cannes Advertising Festival, is quitting his job at Euro RSCG Worldwide less than two years after joining as director of global new business.
Hatchuel, aged 31, is reported to be quitting to pursue a venture in the entertainment industry.
He joined Euro RSCG, part of the French advertising giant Havas, in February 2002 to take the new role of director of global business. Previously, he headed the advertising festival in Cannes, which was founded by his father Roger who remains as chairman. He has also worked for Paris-based transportation company Saga, where he was sales and marketing director, and started his career in advertising at CB News Group.

According to reports, Euro RSCG is undecided as to whether or not Hatchuel will be replaced. He is to leave in the next couple of weeks, after informing chairman and chief executive officer Bob Schmetterer several weeks ago that he was resigning.
Earlier this month, Euro RSCG was named by Polaroid as its global creative agency.
