LONDON - OgilvyOne has made two promotions on its key BT business as the telecoms giant prepares to ramps up its use of direct marketing.

Ogilvy has promoted Katherine Harvey to account director on BT consumer and Angela Bourke as account director on BT business.

Harvey has been promoted from account supervisor, where she held responsibility for broadband, the direct marketing launch of BT's 118 500 and BT Mobile. Bourke has also been promoted from account supervisor.

OgilvyOne won the BT business account in summer last year from WWAV Rapp Collins without a pitch.

In 2002 OgilvyOne won the £20m task of transforming BT's use of direct

marketing as a communications channel on the retail consumer side and since then work on the account has grown.

Ogilvy One's clients include American Express, IBM, Royal Mail and Nestle.
