Eidos establishes European team after restructure

Eidos, the video games publisher behind the Tomb Raider series, is to create a pan-European marketing division as part of a restructure of its marketing business.

UK marketing director John Davis has been promoted to the new role of European marketing director and will control the European brand marketing team.

It will consist of a group of brand directors who will liaise with local marketing teams to ensure support is given to its top games, such as the ongoing Tomb Raider titles and Championship Manager series.

A UK marketing communications group has also been set up and will be headed by UK marketing manager Carolyn London. She will be responsible for overseeing Eidos' UK trade and consumer activity, as well as boosting its £1.5m marketing budget.

Eidos has also created the role of advertising manager, which will be filled by James O'Reilly. He joins from Fox Parrack Hirsch, where he was media manager.
