Sony Ericsson denies £30m international review plans
LONDON - Sony Ericsson has denied that it is planning to review its £30m international media planning and buying account held by WPP Group's Mediaedge:cia.
Sony Ericsson, which is a 50:50 joint venture owned by Sony of Japan and Ericsson of Sweden, was reported by Campaign this morning as being in the process of drawing up a shortlist of networks to pitch.

In a statement it said that the position of Mediaedge:cia, which has been its global media agency since October 2001, remains unchanged.
Dee Dutta, corporate vice-president and head of marketing at Sony Ericsson, said: "Following my appointment at Sony Ericsson I have extended [Mediaedge:cia's] remit to cover not just Europe but all over the world.
"Mediaedge:cia is the only the recognised global media agency of Sony Ericsson. We have a very positive working relationship with them and I have been extremely impressed by what they have achieved for us in the area of communications planning and buying across the world," he said.
