Award winners will receive a year-long business support package, including free advertising, expert advice, personal shopping services and vouchers. The overall winner will receive a total package worth around £10,000, including personal mentoring from a Barclays business marketing expert.
Handbag.com found in a recent poll that although 95% of women had considered setting up their own business but that more than half of them were discouraged from doing so by lack of finances.
Women entering the awards will be assisted with 24-hour online support and guidance from Handbag.com throughout the process. Entries must be submitted by July 23 and more information can be found here.
Alicen Stenner, brand director at Handbag.com, said: "One of the key barriers to women's success is the limited access to informal and formal business networks, which is why our awards are offering women a 24-hour gateway to guide and support them through all aspects of setting up a business."
