LONDON – Paramount Home Entertainment UK has appointed Greenroom Digital to its online account, which includes the 'Star Trek' UK website, after a three-way pitch.

Greenroom will produce and manage Paramount's digital strategy including front and back end design, production and hosting of the forthcoming UK Paramount DVD site and club.

As well as new site launches, Greenroom will tackle ongoing maintenance and development of the Star Trek UK site, as well as production and design of all digital media on Paramount DVD releases, including its upcoming releases of 'School of Rock' and 'Star Trek: Voyager'.

John Robson, marketing director of Paramount Home Entertainment UK, said: "The pitch showed us that there are some fantastic agencies out there. It was Greenroom's wealth of movie experience and innovative approach that really shone out."

Greenroom has previously worked for Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, which hired the agency to promote the releases of '24 Hour Party People', 'The X Files', 'Dog Soldiers' and '28 Days Later' among other titles.

With the launch of the DVD club, Paramount will be hoping that Greenroom can help it boost online sales and market presence.

Roberto Sodano, marketing director of Greenroom, said: "We are tremendously excited to be working with Paramount as the entertainment industry is at the heart of what Greenroom does, day in and day out. It is a fantastic opportunity for us to create and develop a through-the-line online strategy for such a prestigious brand."
