Delia puts new recipes online in subscription launch

LONDON - Delia Online, the home of TV cook Delia Smith on the web, has launched a new subscription area of the site focusing on 'special diets', including vegan recipes.

The 900 recipes on the site are aimed at those who follow a vegan, dairy-free, nut-free, egg-free, wheat-free or gluten-free diet.

As well as recipes sorted by category, there are links to useful websites, book recommendations and product information.

Special Diets launches on 21 May, costs £4.95 and can be paid for through the BT click&buy secure online shopping system.

The site will be promoted through a fortnightly email sent to the 90,000 registered users on www.deliaonline.com, and through links on the home page and on the BT click&buy site.

Jo Hill, editor said: "People with special dietary requirements find it very difficult to track down suitable recipes. This site aims to help these people and allow them to enjoy Delia's recipes."
