LONDON – BBC Worldwide has appointed AdLINK to handle sales for its Radio Times website.

The move comes a year after BBC Worldwide outsourced the work for the site, during which time it has seen a 55% growth in unique users.

AdLINK replaces incumbent Unanimis Consulting, which continues to handle sales for BBC Worldwide's Top Gear site.

Donald Hamilton, managing director of AdLINK, said: "Radio Times is looking for new ways to integrate online advertising and is looking to develop new prospects in the wider marketplace."

The agency, whose other media and entertainment clients include Time Out, The Independent, Nasdaq and MTV, reports to BBC Worldwide magazines and new-media strategy manager Chris Kerwin.

Earlier this year, the website linked up with web-to-mobile services firm MPP Global Solutions to offer a text-reminder service.
