Carnaby hires DS.Emotion to give site community feel
LONDON - Carnaby, the area of London that was the one-time heart of mod culture and has undergone a transformation, is to be promoted through a new website, which aims to give the area a community feel.
Created by DS.Emotion, the site goes live this week and aims to increase visitors to the area known as Carnaby, which encompasses Carnaby Street, Newburgh Street, Beak Street, Kingly Street and Foubert's Place, and improve relations with residents, Londoners and tourists.

The site has been created in the style of a magazine, and gives a virtual tour of points of interest in Carnaby Street, opinions and comments posted from residents, shop owners and the public, news and event listings, and a competition to win a £500 shopping spree on the street.
The site was been commissioned by Shaftesbury, which owns property in London including Chinatown, Seven Dials and Carnaby.
Shelley Webb, residential coordinator at Shaftesbury, said: "For us, digital marketing is an increasingly effective medium to communicate with our commercial and public audiences."
DS.Emotion will continue working on the site over the course of the year.
