Hutchinson spent six years at Barclays in business banking, where he helped develop automated business loan and overdraft sanctioning systems using behaviour scoring techniques. He then joined the consumer finance division working on behavioural, response and fraud scoring for personal loans, overdrafts and credit cards, in addition to limit models calculations and strategy setting.
Kiernon O'Neill, head of predictive sciences at Equifax, said: "The recruitment of industry veterans -- Elaine and John -- strengthens our competitive advantage and further demonstrates Equifax's commitment to offer customers the best in data analytics."
Equifax's Predictive Sciences division delivers data analytics for credit risk and marketing data services.
