Presidential election sees BBC push online news in US
LONDON - The BBC has launched an online advertising campaign in the US to boost visits to its online news network in the run-up to the Presidential elections in November.
The campaign, created by Agency Republic in the UK, will target seekers of hard news and an international perspective online through sites including the International Herald Tribune, Washington Post, Time Magazine and The Economist.

The campaign, called "World News, Global View", will use live news feeds from BBC News in some of its formats that will allow users to select news from the world region of their choice.
Steve Herrmann, world editor of BBC News, said: "As the US election approaches, we expect more people to want access to the wider view we can provide."
The US Presidential election takes place in November as George W Bush takes on challenger John Kerry in another tightly fought race.
"We don't see ourselves as replacing domestic news suppliers but we offer a valuable alternative -- in-depth insights on the day's news from a global perspective," Herrmann said.
