Elton John's swearing lands him in hot water with BBC
LONDON – Sir Elton John stunned BBC Radio 1 listeners with a foul-mouthed outburst on the station's Chris Moyles show just after 9am yesterday.
The camp singer said: "I haven't been to the BBC for so long I almost went to the other building. But I saw Tony Blackburn on a walking stick and I thought, 'No it's the wrong fucking place'."
He then added: "I'm not live on air?"

Moyles jumped in to apologise to viewers: "Yes, we're live. I apologise to the young boys and girls." However, later on he added: "But it's Elton John, so I don't care."
John then proceeded to dig himself into a deeper hole by asking Moyles: "Is it OK to say wank, tits and bollocks? I have this weird syndrome approaching 10am. Can I please say bugger next week?"
At last month's Q Awards, John took to the stage and attacked Madonna with a foul-mouthed rant after she was awarded Best Live Act. "Best fucking live act? Fuck off!" he said at the time.
It was revealed last week that John is developing a sitcom about an ageing rockstar, but he denies that the programme will be autobiographical. Instead, he insists it will draw on other pop icons such as Mick Jagger and Freddie Mercury.
