Mediaedge:cia appoints Zed's Hyams to head digital arm
LONDON - Mediaedge:cia has poached Zed Media managing director Jeff Hyams to run its digital outfit Outrider, after the agency's head and deputy departed for Naked last month.
Hyams, who has spent the last five years at Zed Media, the digital arm of Zenith Optimedia, is also believed to be taking on a senior European management role at Mediaedge:cia alongside his managing director role at Outrider.

Hyams' appointment follows the departure of managing partner Brad Fairhead and his deputy Tom Johnson, who left to create a new partnership project at Naked Communications, leaving Outrider without any senior management.

Rob Norman, Chairman of Mediaedge:cia, said : "Our clients want accountability and they want a clearer view of customer acquisition and lead generation across channels. Jeff has experience both on- and off-line and will lead our offer in Europe and the UK as we continue to build this discipline."
