Combined Insurance boosts team with key appointment

LONDON – Combined Insurance has hired industry veteran Tim Thirlway to take on the new role of senior market research executive at the accident and health insurance specialists.

Thirlway has been given a remit is to spearhead the company's consumer research development initiatives and to assist in the identification of new markets and products as Combined continues to focus on its corporate goal of doubling its business in the first decade of the new millennium.

He will become part of the marketing services team led by marketing services manager Alison Kidgell.

Thirlway, who has 15 years' experience within the marketing and market research industry, joins the Kingston-based firm after working in research at companies including NOP, Skybridge Group where he was market research manager.

Nigel Brittle, Combined Insurance sales marketing director, said: "Tim will play a key role in the continuing development of our research function. The market is changing and there are new market opportunities out there for us to exploit.

"We are looking to Tim to make a key contribution in the identification and analysis of these opportunities as we focus on our goal of doubling the size of Combined Insurance in this decade."
