Virgin Atlantic aims to boost online sales
Airline Virgin Atlantic aims to raise online flight sales with its revamped web site (www.virgin-atlantic.com).
"The new Virgin Atlantic site contains useful features such as booking, check-in, seat assignment and Flying Club account management. It is setting standards in terms of ease-of-use, performance and accessibility," said Brian Beirne, head of e-commerce at Virgin Atlantic.

Mike Altendorf, joint managing director at Conchango, which did the redesign, said: "Airline customers want to use online not only to buy tickets but to buy additional products like hotels."
AbilityNet, the national computing and disability charity, carried out testing on design concepts.
