SiebertHead redesigns Somerfield's sherry range
LONDON - Brand design consultancy SiebertHead has been appointed by Somerfield to redesign its range of sherrys after successfully completing the designs for its range of spirits.
All sherry labels will have a triangular device composed of three circles, which are shown in different colours depending on the type of sherry they contain.
The design works on three levels showing the grapes from where the sherry is made, the solera method of blending and storing and the "sherry triangle" of producing towns where the sherry originates.

Carol Baker, design manager at Somerfield, said: "An essential part of the marketing of any wine is the label design and we are conscious that we need to compete at a higher level here with brands that have been longer established and are perhaps more familiar to shoppers.
"We feel that SiebertHead has managed to give Somerfield sherries an all-important strong shelf presence through a memorable and distinctive identity."
SiebertHead's designs include Carlsberg Export beer tap for its 'Man of The Match' trophy in all 31 of the Euro 2004 games last year.
