Sky One raids Capital Radio for new marketing head
LONDON - Sky One has poached Capital Radio's head of marketing Kelsey Offord to take over the same job at the satellite broadcaster's flagship station.
Offord will be responsible for all on- and off-air promotions for the network including hit shows 'The Simpsons', 'Nip/Tuck', '24' and new US firefighter drama 'Rescue Me'.
At Capital, Offord provided strategic marketing for the network's brands and, in particular, Capital FM during the transition from breakfast presenter Chris Tarrant to Johnny Vaughan last year.

Prior to joining Capital, she held marketing roles for BBC Radio Two and Anheuser-Busch's Budweiser brand.
Barnaby Dawe, director of marketing at Sky Networks, said: "Sky One is looking forward to a great season of entertainment as it builds on the success of its autumn schedule with more high quality and innovative programming.
"This appointment will help to ensure that Sky One fulfils its role as a core element of our pay-TV proposition and continues to deliver high-quality audiences to our advertisers."
Offord begins her new role later this month.
