MCCA launches new agency search and selection service
LONDON - The Marketing Communications Consultants Association has launched a new agency search service to help clients in the selection process of choosing an agency.
Called Search & Selection, the service aims to help clients find and ultimately appoint agencies through the process of chemistry meetings and pitches.
Despite a number of services already currently operating in this arena, the MCCA says it is best placed to run such as service because it is able to offer a wider range of best-practice services than rivals and because it is non-profit making, the costs to clients are substantially lower.

Scott Knox, MCCA managing director, said: "Whether clients are saving time or are new to market and need assistance in understanding how the process works, the service will prove an invaluable tool resulting in the ultimate outcome every business seeks -- a more successful and profitable result."
The new three-tier service, offering match, meet and pitch, replaces the existing MCCA portfolio service. All three processes will be available individually or as a whole package depending on clients' requirements.
Match provides clients with an initial long list of agencies, and examples of their work, for consideration. Meet is designed to help clients formulate and manage initial chemistry discussion meetings, while Pitch will guide clients through the entire pitch process, from brief review to post-pitch evaluation.
Karen Davis and Duncan Goose, who have 30 years of experience in the marketing communications sector between them, will run Search & Selection. Davis and Goose worked in business development roles prior to joining the MCCA and are uniquely placed to view the pitch process from an objective perspective having been involved with the MCCA and its competitors.
