UIP backs launch of Meet the Fockers with online blitz

LONDON - United International Pictures is planning a digital marketing first this week as it takes over the homepages of all major portals and ISPs on the same day to promote the film 'Meet the Fockers'.

On January 21, trailers for the movie will appear on Wanadoo, MSN, AOL and Yahoo! sites as part of a £2m campaign. The activity was negotiated by ZenithOptimedia and its digital arm Zed Media.

TV, press and outdoor ads will support the online work and drive traffic to a dedicated 'Meet the Fockers' website.

Brands including First Direct have taken over individual homepages in the past, but this is the first time it has been done on a multiple basis at the same time.
