LONDON - TRG Strata, the ReaD Group's list and insert management consultancy, has developed a third-party mailing scheme that offers advertisers the opportunity to target subscribers of magazines published by Future Publishing in the UK.

The scheme, which is called Future Collections, divides subscribers into three categories: craft and hobbies; PC and gaming; and lifestyle and entertainment. With each issue of their magazine, subscribers receive a Future envelope filled with relevant offers from advertisers.

Future publishes more than 100 special interest magazines including PC Answers, Total Film and .Net.

Jayne Caple, advertising director at Future, said: "TRG Strata is the ideal partner for this venture and we believe its experience in the third-party insert market will help to develop what is rapidly becoming a significant channel for any organisation."

The mailing volumes for the three subscriber categories are: 32,000 for craft and hobbies; 120,000 for PC and gaming; and 90,000 for lifestyle and entertainment. The cost per thousand is £45.

Chris Grey, managing director at TRG Strata, said: "The Future Collections scheme is proving to be very successful compared with other routes to market, such as inserts in newsstand titles. For every subscriber category we've built up a detailed profile so advertisers can personalise communications to a much greater extent."
