The COI is looking for an agency to promote the 1998 Human Rights

Act, which is due to come into force on 2 October.

CDP, FCA! and Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners have been shortlisted

for the business. The budget is, as yet, undisclosed.

The act will bring UK law in line with the European Convention on Human

Rights. Hundreds of public authorities, from local government to the

police, are gearing themselves up for its implementation. Judges will

have to apply its rights and philosophy to UK law.

CDP handles the COI’s task for the Department of Trade and Industry’s

Business Links and Delaney Lund handles the Department of Health’s organ

donor and blood donor work. FCA! will be looking to plug the gap in its

client list after the natural expiry of its COI Action 2000 business.
