D&AD boasts record number of entrants for Student Awards

This year’s D&AD Student Awards, chaired by Chris O’Shea, Banks Hoggins O’Shea/FCB’s creative partner, attracted its highest number of entrants. Submissions were up by 35 per cent to more than 2,000.

entrants. Submissions were up by 35 per cent to more than 2,000.


This year’s Student of the Year, and the winner of the illustration

category for her work for Waterstone’s, was Marion Reilly from Central

St Martin’s School of Art and Design.



The winner of the poster category was Lynne Rawlings from the University

of Central England in Birmingham for her work for the Royal National

Institute for the Blind. Pak Ying Chan from Kingston University won the

press advertising category for her work for Lastminute.com.



The winners of the overall ad campaign category were Blake Duerdon and

Mark Wilde from Buckinghamshire Chilterns University for City & Guilds.
