HONG KONG - Coca-Cola is reviewing its media planning and buying account in China.

Several agencies have made credentials presentations, including McCann-Erickson, which is Coke's global agency for strategy. The incumbent agency, ZenithOptimedia, is also involved in the review.

A source said that a pitch brief has not yet been issued but that Coke was looking around "to see if its agency partner in China is the best available in terms of cost-effectiveness and channel-planning capabilities".

The creative account, which is handled by McCann-Erickson Guangming, is not under review.
