X-rated litter ads run out
Anti-litter campaigners are struggling to meet demand for a range of posters that uses sexual innuendo to encourage teenagers to deal with their litter in a responsible way.
Encams, which runs the Keep Britain Tidy campaign, revealed this week that in just eight days it has run out of its first run of 10,000 posters that use innuendo to push the anti-litter message to cynical youngsters.

The posters were designed following an investigation by Encams into why young people are failing to respond to the traditional "Keep Britain Tidy" message. "That's the worst thing you can say to them," said assistant chief executive Sue Nelson. "But we found that swearing is big with teenagers and they love irony and taking the mick out of adults."
Nelson added that the demand for the posters, which have not been advertised, has come from word-of-mouth, text messaging and email.
