Day is know for bold and geometric figures and more subtle abstract patterns, which have been produced by companies as diverse as Heal's and Liberty of London.
Day was also known as one half of Britain's most celebrated designer couples with her husband Robin Day, both having been described as "electrifying" the UK design scene in the 1950's.
