Founders of magazine ad space auction site hope to become next eBay
LONDON - A new online auction system for magazine advertising space is gunning to become the next eBay for the media world.
Blankspace.co.uk is being aimed at buyers and sellers of magazine advertising space. It will let publications sell advertising space either by auction or by buy-it-now prices.

The idea is that it will let magazines sell space they need to fill in a hurry -- possibly at below market rates.
The service is the idea of two Sussex-based entrepreneurs, Nick York and Ian Highland, and is backed by Sussex publisher the Friday-Ad group.
According to York: "Blankspace offers 24/7 access to all customers, offering bargains for buyers and the option to try out new publications at affordable prices.
"Because Blankspace handles the entire transaction in a secure online environment, publishers benefit from reduced administration costs and no bad debtors."
