Standard Lite ups circulation
Flexo newspaper plant Harmsworth Quays has increased daily print runs of lunchtime freesheet Standard Lite by 20,000 since its launch in December.
The paper, which is effectively the second edition of Associated Newspaper's Evening Standard, now has a circulation of 72,000.
"We've been steadily increasing it by 5,000-6,000 copies at a time since we launched in December," said Chris Spalding, Evening Standard circulation director.

He said that the newspaper group was "playing it by ear" in terms of how many more copies to add. Spalding added that there had been no clear effect yet on sales of the paper's full-fat version.
"I'd love it to increase the sale of the paid-for. Worst-case scenario it would decrease it, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything either way."
