ITV4 takes Men and Motors slot
ITV is to launch ITV4 as a channel for men. It will absorb Granada Men and Motors' content as well as offering additional male-interest programming.
ITV is expected to make an announcement on the launch in late-spring. Independent producers have already been commissioned to produce a motoring series to a tight deadline.
The soft-porn content on Men and Motors is set to be axed.

The channel will take over the Men and Motors slot on Sky, but ITV also hopes to launch ITV4 on Freeview. It is bidding for a new slot, which will become available from 1 April.
The news counters earlier reports that ITV4 would be an interactive gaming channel. Although this has been discounted, betting and gaming may still feature as an add-on to all ITV's digital channels.
