Ministry of Sound boosts revenue streams with pan-European mobile content move
LONDON - Ministry of Sound, the nightclub and music company, is to expand the scope of its mobile content to offer more downloads and increase revenue streams.
The company has signed a deal with mobile services company Minick to manage relationships with European mobile operators, ahead of the launch of new mobile portals in the UK, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and other countries.

Ministry of Sound has been offering mobile content in the UK since 2003, selling ringtones, graphics, videos and games, and has also expanded into Spain after developing a relationship with Telefonica.
Matt Dicks, head of media for Ministry of Sound, said: "The success of our mobile business in the UK and the initial success in Spain has given us the opportunity to expand our offering to more European operators. We believe that the demand for our mobile offering over the next few years will enable us to grow our revenues aggressively in both 2005 and 2006."
Separately, the company has hired James Watson as its new head of sponsorship, working across its global interests including clubs, world tours, its radio station, website and record label. He joins after six years at Haymarket, the publisher of Brand Republic, where he was head of business at Haymarket Consumer Digital.
