LONDON - The Creative and Cultural Skills Council, part of a network of government-funded training bodies aimed at improving links between business and education, is inviting students to design its identity.

The body has launched a competition among students on its courses to develop an identity, with the creator of the winning design earning £1,000 prize money and a work experience placement.

Tom Bewick, CEO of the council, said: "As today's students are the future of the creative and cultural sector, it is fitting that they should play their part in it by creating an identity that best represents what we do."

The Creative and Cultural Skills council covers courses in advertising, craft, cultural heritage, design, performance, as well as the literary and visual arts.

The competition closes on April 22, with the winning design set for an official launch in June. An entry kit can be downloaded here.
