Spar in Teletext Holidays tie-up

Spar, the convenience store chain, has tied up with Teletext Holidays TV to promote its sponsorship of the European Athletics Association.


The six-week campaign, negotiated by SP Partnerships, is the first time Spar has run such a high-profile co-promotion. The activity will run throughout its 2800-store network, using co-branded media including posters and leaflets.

Teletext Holidays TV, the travel shopping channel on Sky, is using the promotion to increase awareness of its services and deals in the lead-up to the summer holiday period. As part of the activity, the channel will offer prizes of six family holidays in Florence to Spar customers.


Spar is the principal sponsor of the European Athletic Association, which this year is holding the Spar European Cup in Florence. The retailer is aiming to raise awareness of its sponsorship among customers and increase interest in the event.
