Reuters extends mobile news services in UK and US
LONDON - Reuters is extending its mobile news story service in the UK and US to reach 70 different models of mobile phone.
The free service delivers the top 10 news stories written by Reuters correspondents in 200 bureaux around the world. Updated throughout the day, each story is illustrated with pictures from photographers on the scene.

It is available on a range of LG, Motorola, Nokia, Siemens, Panasonic, Sharp and Sony Ericsson mobile phones. The service can be downloaded by typing in mobile.reuters.co.uk on to the phone's internet browser.
It is part of moves by Reuters to grow the consumer audience for its services. The company has also recently revamped its website to make it more consumer focused and is marketing it via ad campaigns that reach beyond its usual business audience.
Approximately 73,000 people a month in the UK, US and France already access Reuters news on their mobiles and PDAs via a Reuters service available on AvantGo. Reuters also recently launched a business news and information service on the Vodafone network in the UK.
Stephen Smyth, vice-president of Reuters Media, said: "As information and images on mobile phones become more popular, there is a real opportunity for a news brand like Reuters to expand our audience."
