Rolls-Royce seeks shop to market Phantom in Europe

LONDON - The Rolls-Royce Motor Company is searching for a below-the-line network to promote its Phantom marque.

The car manufacturer has already seen presentations from several networks and has shortlisted two. The winning outfit will produce a one-off campaign, promoting the car in several markets throughout Europe.

The Phantom was launched two years ago with the intention of catapulting Rolls-Royce back to the top of the luxury car market. The car is a saloon, which boasts a lightweight, super-strength aluminium chassis, a luxury wood veneer and an umbrella concealed in the door frame.

Famous owners of the brand include the rapper Sean "P Diddy" Combs.

A second version of the car -- featuring an extended wheelbase and extra interior space -- was launched earlier this year in Geneva.

The pitch is not thought to affect Rolls-Royce's UK agencies -- Tequila\Manchester and Citigate Albert Frank.
