DFGW scoops BBC Wimbledon brief
The BBC has appointed an outside agency to handle its advertising for the Wimbledon tennis tournament for the first time in its history.
DFGW, a BBC incumbent, was awarded the task, which has previously been handled in-house.
It has developed a trailer that will promote the BBC's coverage of the tournament and run around its programming later this month.

In the spot, two female players battle it out under the scrutiny of the cameras used at Wimbledon, until one player cracks - literally, shattering into a million pieces.
DFGW has worked on an increasing number of BBC Sport projects over the past year. Last June, it created the campaign to promote the BBC's coverage of the Athens Olympics and in January, it created ads for the Six Nations rugby tournament. DFGW was also behind the work for the Euro 2004 football tournament last summer.
Louise Holmes, the BBC Sport marketing manager, said: "We wanted a campaign that would force reappraisal of the tournament and engage a wider audience."
