Mori appoints Likierman to replace Worcester as chairman
LONDON - Mori non-executive director Andrew Likierman is to take over from Sir Robert Worcester as chairman of the research giant on the same day Worcester becomes life president of the company.
Likierman will also chair the remuneration and the audit committees of the Mori board when he takes up the role on July 1.
Likierman has been non-executive director at Mori for over a year and is also a professor of distinction at the London Business School and a non-executive director at Barclays Bank and the Bank of England.

Worcestor said he was resigning as chairman and taking up the life president position of the company he founded in 1969 to concentrate on other commitments.
"This seems to me to be a good point to step back a bit from responsibility for a number of duties which can now be taken over by my colleagues to give me more time for my other responsibilities as an non-executive director in other companies, governorships of both LSE and the University of Kent, honorary professorships at Kent and the University of Warwick, and trustee of several charities," he said.
Separately, Mori announced it was setting up a new advisory board to counsel the firm on societal trends, economic factors and other matters affecting the UK and the world.
Worcestor will chair the new board while advisory members will include: Sir Simon Jenkins, former editor of The Times; Dame Judith Mayhew Jonas, provost of Kings College Cambridge and chairman of the Royal Opera House; Lord May of Oxford, president of the Royal Society; and Dr Geoff Mulgan, director of the Institute of Community Studies and former head of policy in the Prime Minister's Office.
