P&G adds Fallon to roster with male toiletries task
LONDON - Procter & Gamble is poised to appoint Fallon to its advertising roster. The agency is understood to be in talks with the FMCG giant about handling advertising for a male grooming brand.
Insiders are speculating that Fallon may also be handed some Gillette brands when the merger of P&G and Gillette is granted regulatory approval this autumn.
The Publicis-owned agency's appointment, which will be confirmed in the next few weeks, follows last week's announcement that Wieden & Kennedy has been appointed to P&G's roster to work on global advertising briefs for its Eukanuba pet food and Ivory soap brands. P&G global marketing officer Jim Stengel oversaw both appointments.

Although Eukanuba's business moves from Publicis-owned Saatchi & Saatchi, Fallon's hiring strengthens the group's position on the roster.
P&G's agencies are braced for further change, following WPP's acquisition of longstanding P&G agency Grey in March. WPP agencies work for Unilever.
