Q offers free access to Napster library in August issue
LONDON - Emap music monthly Q has linked with Napster to offer readers the opportunity to listen to more than a million songs for free, via the covermount CD on its August issue.
As well the traditional compilation of songs, the CD can be inserted into a computer and takes readers through to a link giving them a month's free trial of Napster.

Called 'Here Comes the Sun', the CD features 15 tracks by artists such as The Flaming Lips, The Magic Numbers, Teenage Fanclub and Feeder. In addition, Q has created a playlist on Napster that offers an extra 40 summery tracks.
Paul Rees, editor of Q, said: "As the essential music guide, Q is dedicated to not only pointing our readers to the very best in music, but also to reflecting the way they listen to it."
The offer follows Q's relaunch last August, driven by Emap research, which showed that interest in music was on the rise due to innovations such as downloading and digital music players.
Q's circulation climbed 7.8% in the second half of 2004 to reach 162,574.
