BBC Two uses furry dog campaign to push comedy schedule
LONDON – BBC Two is launching a brand campaign for its new slate of comedy shows featuring the figure two as a furry dog in a series of sketches.
The sketches will star Catherine Tate and Stephen Fry among others and will alert viewers to BBC Two's Thursday night comedy schedule.
In addition, the campaign will include radio and TV promotions and an online competition encouraging people to send in their best gag.

BBC Two's Thursday night comedy line-up will include 'The Catherine Tate Show', political satire 'Absolute Power' starring Fry, and Ricky Gervais' new comedy vehicle 'Extras'.
Johanna Crotty, BBC entertainment marketing manager, said the sketches to debut on July 11 are pieces of comedy in their own right.
"This campaign brilliantly signals the next wave of great BBC Two shows while being a series of great bites of comedy in its own right," she said.
The sketches were written by Charlie Mawer, executive director at BBC Broadcast and created by the Oscar-winning Neal Scanlon Studios, which recently worked on the new 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'.
Mawer said: "For years we have known that a man's best friend is a dog, but we have only just discovered a comedian's best friend is BBC Two."
