LONDON – The Times's Monday sport supplement The Game has extended its sponsorship of TalkSport's drivetime show to November 2006, in a £1.1m deal.

The 4-7pm show is called 'The Game' and is presented by Paul Breen-Turner and Mike Parry.

The Times has sponsored the show since May last year, and has used it as a vehicle for tactical promotions for its guides to major sporting events. Times sports journalists provide analysis and reports for the show.

The deal was negotiated between James Roles, communications and strategy marketing manager at The Times, and Matt Wilson, account director of sponsorship for TalkSport.

"The Times gets to showcase its quality in front of a captivated audience of men who love sport; and our listeners get a better product and now know where to find the best sports coverage available in print. It's simple, effective and sells papers," Wilson said.
