Apple names Radio 1's Moyles the most popular in podcasting
LONDON - DJ Chris Moyles's Radio 1 breakfast show has been named the UK's most popular podcast, according to latest data from Apple.
Apple' s Top Subscribed Podcasts chart has placed speech from Moyle's show in top place, even though the programme launched in the format just days ago.
Other BBC successes in the chart are Radio Five Live film reviews by Mark Kermode in second place and Radio 4's 'Today' programme in third.

Also in the top 10 are Radio 4's 'From Our Own Correspondent', BBC Radio Five Live's 'The Rumour Mill', BBC Radio 4's 'File on 4' and BBC World Service's 'Go Digital'.
Virgin Radio's Pete and Geoff make an appearance at number 14.
The BBC podcasts are part of a trial by the broadcaster in the emerging format. In April, this was extended to include around 20 programmes including Radio 4's Reith Lectures and Radio Five Live's weekly sports debate show 'Fighting Talk'.
Moyles's show is available every Thursday to download from the Radio 1 website and transfer to MP3 players including i-Pods.
Moyles said: "I'm glad that even more people can enjoy the show and now even computer geeks from around the world can help feed my ego."
A spokesman for Apple said the podcast data is updated regularly. It is seen within the music industry as a key indicator of podcast popularity in the absence of an official chart of the format.
