Jessica Simpson warns Britney over reality TV dangers

LONDON - Jessica Simpson has advised fellow peroxide blonde Britney Spears to only do one series of reality TV show 'Britney and Kevin: Chaotic', as another might ruin her and husband Kevin Federline's lives.

Her comments come off the back of Simpson's regret over losing two years of her life as the subject of MTV fly-on-the-wall show 'Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica'.

"Only do one season and make sure your contract is good," she is reported telling Britney. She went on to explain: "We were locked in. We thought it was going to be a six-episode documentary, but it ended up being two years."

Simpson's shrewd advice will undoubtedly have Spears and her lawyers reaching for her contract with Paramount-owned UPN and perusing the small print, which apparently Simpson failed to do.

In the first episode of 'Britney and Kevin: Chaotic', Britney and Kevin revealed their thoughts about marriage and commitment to the camera.

The pregnant pop princess said that the show would provide her with the perfect vehicle to express her "personal life through art", while adding that husband Kevin described it as "a documentation of love".

The six-part series will also air on MTV after its run on UPN.

MTV began airing 'Newlyweds' in the summer of 2003. Though the Jessica Simpson was a reasonably well-known celebrity before the series, it is the main factor behind making her a star and attracting acting roles such as the part of Daisy in the film version of 'The Dukes of Hazzard'.

'Newlyweds' attracted viewers eager to see whether Simpson met the "dumb blonde" stereotype. They were not disappointed. In one episode she asked whether tins of Chicken Of The Sea tuna contained chicken or fish.
