Trinity Mirror adds Financial Jobs Online to digital portfolio
LONDON - Trinity Mirror is adding to its growing number of digital acquisitions with the purchase of Financial Jobs Online, owner of Gaapweb.com, for a total sum of £13.05m.
The acquisition comes shortly after Trinity Mirror launched a network of local job sites in conjunction with Fish4jobs earlier this month and following the acquisition of smartnewhomes.com in July.

Trinity Mirror has acquired the accountancy and finance recruitment site for an initial consideration of £10.45m and a deferred consideration, based on future earnings, of £2.6m.
Gaapweb was established in the late 1990s and has become a leading player in the online financial recruitment sector. The website will now benefit from promotion across Trinity Mirror's portfolio of newspapers and online network.
The expansion to its digital sector comes as the group revealed digital ad revenues within the regional division grew from £2m to £3.4m. The group's newspapers saw revenues slump by 5.4% from £99m to £93.7m, however the regional newspaper division saw ad revenue grow 1.5% to £214.1m.
In the autumn, Trinity is to relaunch the websites of The Sunday Mirror, The People and Scottish titles, The Daily Record and Sunday Mail through MGN Digital, which runs the company's national newspaper sites. The Daily Mirror website was relaunched earlier this year.
Sly Bailey, chief exectutive of Trinity Mirror, said: "Digital is a key driver of our growth strategy and recruitment is an important pillar of our advertising revenue, which makes Gaapweb a perfect fit for Trinity Mirror."
In total, Trinity Mirror has seen the launch of 17 new magazines, newspapers and online services.
The group has recently launched insidepublic.com, a national career advice and job classifieds for public sector workers, as well as a general job site for the Midlands.
