LONDON – A new company called Ink has launched, offering copywriting services, including developing brands' tone of voice, to creative and design agencies.

Ink is a team of 15 writers from a wide range of backgrounds including advertising, journalism and PR. It was set up by Tom Chesher and Simon Jones, who were previously creative and marketing directors at copywriting agency Stratton Craig.

It can help design agencies with two needs, according to Chesher.

"On the one hand was a need for writers who could effectively express brand values in words. On the other was a simple need for quality writers who'd be available at short notice and help design agencies meet tough deadlines," he said.

Ink is already working with agencies including Emperor, Design Group and MarketPlace and clients including Royal Mail, Friends Provident and the Marriott Group.
