LONDON - Take a Break, the UK's biggest-selling women's magazine, is launching a new multimillion-pound television advertising campaign featuring 'The Vicar of Dibley' star Emma Chambers.

The campaign, created by Mustoes, is looking to reinforce the H Bauer-published magazine as the number one women's title in the UK, selling 1.2m copies every week with more than 3.3m readers

The TV spots will feature the actor Emma Chambers, who is best known for playing the ditsy character of Alice Tinker in 'The Vicar of Dibley' and also starred in British film 'Notting Hill' in 1999.

The ads will appear from tomorrow on ITV, Channel 4 and Five during shows including 'Coronation Street' and 'Emmerdale'. Mustoes created the ads to focus on the close relationship that the magazine aims to have with its readers.

H Bauer managing director David Goodchild said: "Take a Break is a publishing success story, having been leader for over 14 years and it continues to outsell all other women's magazines by two to one or greater."

It was recently announced that ACP-NatMag is to take on the real-life women's weekly sector with a magazine called Real People. H Bauer also publishes That's Life, which sells about 600,000 copies a week.
