Purchases see Centaur rise in engineering category
Centaur Communications scores highly in this year’s engineering category after its purchase last April of a portfolio of engineering titles from Miller Freeman. Headlined by The Engineer, the portfolio also shows Design Engineering and Metalwork Production in the sector’s top 15.
“In the year we’ve been with Centaur there has been a very dynamic investment in the product,” said engineering group industry director John Taylor. “The Engineer has seen a relaunch and we’ve had a complete re-registration to generate accurate, focused circulation.”
At the top of the circulation chart is Manufacturing Computer Solutions from Findlay, which posted an average net circulation of 54,503 across 11 issues for the year.
Although most titles saw a slight decline in circulation during the period, two notable success stories were Technical Products from Gillard Welch, up 5.4% to 23,196, and Manufacturing Management from Inside Communications, up 5% on last year at 19,555.
In total, the sector supports 25 titles with a combined circulation of 496,007. Only United Advertising’s Industrial Exchange & Mart has any newstrade presence.
