Borrie named ASA boss
Lord Gordon Borrie QC has been named as the next Chairman of the Advertising Standards Authority.
He will take over on January 1 2001 from Lord Rodgers of Quarry Bank who is retiring after six years in the job.
Lord Borrie's appointment was announced by Winston Fletcher, chairman of the Advertising Standards Board of Finance, who said Borrie was "supremely qualified" to lead the council of the ASA.
