DMGT fined for predatory pricing
Sony Walkman has signed a six figure sponsorship deal with Virgin Radio for its on-air and online coverage of V2001 music event.
Aberdeen Journals, a subsidiary of Daily Mail and General Trust's Northcliffe Newspapers, has been fined £1.33 million after being found guilty of predatory pricing.
According to the Office of Fair Trading, which imposed the fine under the 1998 Competition Act, Aberdeen Journals incurred losses on its free publication, the Herald & Post, in an effort to drive the Aberdeen & District Independent out of the market.
